‘Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children’ Collectors Edition

Final Fantasy VII was one of the first Final Fantasy games I ever got into. There was something about that game that hooked me right from the start. I know a lot of people that say the same thing.

When I heard that Final Fantasy VII was getting turned into a movie I was truly excited. The resulting movie, Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, was one of the best video game-to-movie adaptations I've ever seen. Vesides having a compelling story it was also some of the best CGI work that I think has ever been in film.

The only reason I haven't purchased the movie right now is that I'm waiting for an HD-DVD release.

Today I got word, though, about the Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children (Limted Edition Collector's Set) and I think I may break.

Ya good luck waiting for it on HD-DVD, its never coming. Buy a BluRay player that should fix that issue this fall. Sony own’s the publishing rights for Advent Children. If you’re waiting for an HD-DVD release it will be years before you get it. thats assuming HD-DVD pulls off a miracle and manages to win the format war.

Great point! I hadn’t even considered the publishing issues. I haven’t made any attempts to buy either a Blu-Ray or HD-DVD player only because I figure it’s worth waiting out the “format war.”

Because so many content providers are offering up movie downloads I’m thinking it may be a wash anyway. If HD movies end up floating around in a purely digital form I probably wouldn’t even need a player.
