Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? Sam Raimi Knows…

Alec Baldwin's The Shadow is somewhere in the middle when it comes to Comic Book to Movie translations (and yes I know that The Shadow was a radio show first). I guess that the closest comparison would really be Dick Tracy, but whatever.

That said, I really do enjoy The Shadow and after a weekend viewing (it was on TMC) I wondered why there hadn't been a sequel. Enter word that Columbia Pictures and Sam Raimi have acquired the rights to The Shadow franchise. While Raimi (most recently known for the Spider-Man movies and most predominantly known for the Evil Dead movies) isn't set to direct, he will be producing along with Josh Donen.
